We are living in difficult times. The challenges of our earlier generation i.e our parents etc were different. The biggest challenge of our time is no longer intra-ideological debates, it is no longer what do you believe in secondary matters, but: Do you believe?. For all theological backgrounds, the challenge in the 21st century is no longer "nationalism", "tribalism", "sectarianism", etc.. The challenge is a massive silent wave of oncoming "Atheism". This wave will hit mostly the young people everywhere. It is a multi-layered wave using many things to widen the distance between people and their Creator. The events are unfolding before our very eyes are all shaping up to bring more challenges to faith systems and their followers, but especially Islam and Muslims. The Magicians will always weave their magic before your eyes, but we need to ensure that we have the profound Iman/faith and belief of Musa alayhi salam, for only that kind of Iman will dispel that magic. When some "faithful" espouse violence as means to achieve their political objectives, and believe in violence (verbal or physical) to express themselves, it is incumbent upon us to offer all people more and more LOVE, COMPASSION, FORGIVENESS and HOPE to counter this Hate, Violence, and hopelessness in all faiths and "faithfuls". People, regardless of background, are looking today for hope, love, and redemption. They are tired of big claims aiming at amassing power, fame, and more divisiveness. The chaotic role mixing and assertions between scholars, preachers, thinkers, students, activists, public speakers, and ambitious wanna be's are fueling the confusion even more. Humanity is tired from hate being promoted under the banner of love. Humanity needs and seeks a break. This is your call O'faithful, to be faithful to your Creator ,selflessly extending what He Ta'ala sent all the Prophets to offer to all people, and it is today, in times of confusion, that we take this responsibility heads on and build bridges, fudge the gaps, and extend a helping, loving and compassionate hand to all. Come, Come, whoever you are…Here you will find hope and love..(paraphrased – Nasiha by Shaykh Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Husayni – August 2014)
